Pallet Dimensions

The standard size for a single full pallet is a maximum of 1200mm x 1200mm x 2000mm. Maximum weight carried: 1200kg. Multiple pallet consignments of pallets measuring 1200 x 1200 can only be transported with prior notification. Larger pallets can be catered for but will attract a surcharge.

A half pallet may measure up to 1200mm x 1200mm x 2000mm but must not weigh more than 500kg.
A quarter pallet may measure up to 1200mm x 1200mm x 600mm and may not weigh over 250kg.

Weight Limits for Goods

Goods must not exceed a total of 1,200kg on the pallet. However, we can arrange by means of Special Instructions at the stage of booking to arrange alternative solutions. It may be that a small surcharge will apply. Consignments requiring a tail-lift delivery must not have a weight exceeding 1000kgs

Presentation of pallets and other types of cargo

To enable safe transhipment of pallets please ensure:

• Goods are stacked on a strong pallet
• Goods are secured and shrink wrapped (including the top) or adequately banded to the pallet
• Pallets are clearly marked with 2 labels. These labels should be placed on both sides of the pallet. They contain all of the required information for a successful pallet Delivery
• Pallet weight does not exceed 1200kgs
• Standard dimensions do not exceed 1200mm x 1200mm x 2000mm

Palletising Goods Securely

In principle it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the goods are presented in a safe and secure condition suitable for carriage by road. This generally means securely packed and shrink-wrapped to a pallet for transit. Pallets consigned requiring tail-lift deliveries must have four-way entry.

Goods must be securely stacked and wrapped to a good quality pallet. Pallet should be shrink-wrapped (including the top of the goods).

Any badly stacked or poorly wrapped pallets will not be accepted for transport.
